We are sponsoring over at 365 Cards http://www.365cards.blogspot.com/ this week. There are 7 challenges and there will be 2 prizes, one $20.00 gift certificate and one $10.00. You better get on over and check it out. You can have 7 enteries in the drawing if you do each challenge!

Gift Card Holders

I know we haven't even had Thanksgiving yet and I'm already thinking about gift card holders. But, the gift giving season is about upon us. These Gift Card Holders are so easy to make. You can have a stack completed in no time flat and have them at the ready.

First I used the mitten shaped card template from the store and cut out 2 mittens in coordinating patterned paper. These are Pink Paislee papers.

I grabbed some trim and a punch for some details. Nothing super fancy, I'm keeping it simple.

To create the inside pocket for the mitten I used the other patterned paper mitten I had cut and cut it into 2 individual pieces. Then I trimmed off the top part of the mitten so it would fit directly on the template.

Using a gift card I had I checked to see where the adhesive should go so I was sure that my card would easily go in it and come out. Then I applied the adhesive.

I added a little paper cuff and a few letter stickers. This is very generic but just think how personal you could get. A little message or a picture.

Here is the front of the gift card holder finished. Grab your envelope and it's good to go. I told you it was going to be easy.

Another super easy gift card holder I have is so simple we really don't need photo directions.
1.Cut out 2 circles in coordinating patterned paper and make them the same size.
2. Cut one of the circles in half and adhere to the botton of the full circle using adhesive only on the edge and don't apply any to the top of the half circle.
3. Use ribbon and other embellishments to jazz it up.
4. Punch a hole in the top of the full circle and tie a ribbon loop and your finished.
This one is perfect for hanging on the tree or attaching to garland. Play hide and seek and make them look for their gift!

It's MONDAY so show us what you did with last Friday's Freebie! Remember when you link your creation here you get entered into our monthly Monday Madness drawing for November. One winner will be randomly drawn from this month's entries. Add yours to Mister Linky.

It's Friday so that means....

It's FREEBIE FRIDAY!!!! This week, we have this really cute house card for your freebie.

In order to receive the shaped card template you must go into the store and order it. It is located in the category shaped card templates. You will receive this in BOTH .jpeg and .pdf file format.
Our templates are just the outline of the open card so you can easily print this on your cardstock or patterned paper, cut it out, fold it, decorate it.... The image you see to the left is the template cut out on white cardstock and folded in two.
Show us your house card next week during our Show n Tell!

Time for some therapy...are you ready???

The doctor is in and it's time for our next Therapy session....

this week I created a fun sketch for you that puts your focus right in the middle of your layout... it also features a few layers in the middle as well as one behind your photo...so lets stack up those layers this week...

and her is my sample layout...I stacked some Jenni Bowlin paper on top of the magic mesh; edging the whole thing with some Bazzill that was punched with the every yummy Martha loopy punch....even added some ribbon along the punched area for another little layer... my photo is matted onto cream cardstock to tie it into the page a bit better. For my little title block, I took the packaging that some Jenni Bowlin buttons came in and enlarged it on my scanner and then traced and cut it out...that is a delish new Prima flower...and those are Maya Road letters that I painted with black paint and then covered with Crystal accents so they are super slick looking...

I hope you've been inspired this week.... and that you'll take my advice and take two extra hours for yourself to scrap this week and we'll see you next Thursday for your next session...

Happy Crafting.....Lynda
